About the event
On Saturday 13th July, Cantar will be bringing sea breezes and salty air to Haxby and Wigginton Methodist Church with a repertoire of Sea Songs. The concert will bring songs from around the world and across the ages washing up on the shore, featuring folk songs, shanties, contemporary classics and atmospheric soundscapes.
Tickets will be available on the door for £7 (free for under 12s, cash only) or can be purchased in advance by emailing cantarcommunitychoir@gmail.com. Profits from the concert will be donated to our chosen charity this year, York Foodbank.
For A Taste of the Sea, join the choir on Monday 24th June at Rowntree Park, York, from 7:30pm, where we will be previewing some of our summer repertoire - donations gratefully received by York Foodbank.
